How are your Paintings Green and Eco-friendly?
The acrylic paints are VOC and solvent free, made from organic pigments in recycled aluminum tubes and the paper packaging the paints come in is made of recycled paper. The Paintbrushes uses are from reclaimed wood handles, recycled metal ferrules, animal free brush hair, and not sterilized.

What is VOC?
VOC is Volatile Organic Compounds, which are considered major contributors to air pollution and global warming. VOC's can be found in paints. And Eco-friendly/Green paints do not contain VOCs.

What is in “Green” Paint?
Well, happily, it has no VOC. And the paints are made from natural elements, such as plant dyes, minerals, bees wax and water.

What is Recycled Wood?
Generally post consumer wood that has been ground down and molded into new products.

What is Reclaimed Wood?
May be post consumer or manufacturing scraps which are cut or shaped into a new product.

What can I do?
• Look to nature: Think of new ways of using objects you find. For example, paint on rocks, drift
wood, and shells. Be creative!
• Reduce consumption: Buy products with recycled packaging, and bring your own bags when shopping.
• Recycle: You can use plastic bags you already have and wrap wet paint brushes to keep moist, donate or give friends and family paint supplies you no longer need. After school programs, art teachers, hospitals can use them for children’s craft and art projects.
• Reuse: Not happy with a painting? Prime over it and re-use them for a new painting. Drawing/sketching? Use both sides of the paper.

How will this help?
• It will reduce the need for new landfills.
• Save energy and prevent pollutions caused by extraction and processing of materials.
• Decrease emission of greenhouse gases that contribute to global climate change.
• Conserve natural resources such as timber, water and minerals.
